<p>I was highly impressed with the ad and so was my friend.We started to speculate what it exactly was.The concept seemed similar to secondlife.com which was started a few years back and has now become internet&#8217;s largest 3D virtual world community.</p>
<p>The ad suggested that atleast.</p>
<p>Now like any normal netizen i just typed <a href="http://gojiyo.com/" target="_blank">http://gojiyo.com/</a> on my browser.It didn&#8217;t open on chrome nor IE.It opened on Firefox.Then i used <a href="http://www.gojiyo.com" target="_blank">www.gojiyo.com</a>,it opened on all 3 browsers.People are not used to enter WWW in start of websites these days.Ok no issues,normal technical glitch,it happens.</p>
<p>The second thing which i noticed is was its poor SEO(search engine optimization).I tried various keywords on google.Go Jiyo,gojiyo,gojiyo.com etc etc none gave the site as the first result.All the results talked about GoJiyo.com only but not the actual link.Some results talk about the TV show godrej once sponsored.</p>
<p><strong>NOTE:This post has been written one day after the launch of the website.So  at the time of reading,the SEO and other technical glitches may have been resolved.</strong></p>
<p>For a website launch of such stature and concept,initial SEO should have been much much better.I know and hope that it will become much better in days to come.</p>

Infact since then it has had many competitors as well like Entropia Universe, IMVU, There, Active Worlds and Kaneva. India has always lagged behind when it came to virtual world adoption and the reasons range from the basic issue of bandwidth to the lack of concentrated effort by any international player to penetrate the Indian markets.</p>
<p>But are Indians laggards in social media technology ?</p>
<p>I dont think so.Trends of Facebook,twitter,orkut,buzz suggest otherwise,but Secondlife has not been very succesful here in India.</p>
<p>Coming back to GoJiyo,I went through the whole GoJiyo process and experience.You chose your avatar(male or female).After that you make it unique.Then as usual, you give your details and you are good to go.</p>
<p>After you log in,you enter a simple social networking page with the basic question,&#8221;What do you think ?&#8221;.A Simple Social Media Page like Facebook or Orkut.Friends,groups,invitations,requests again come to haunt you in it.But the things change when you press the button on the top called,&#8221;Enter the 3D world&#8221;.</p>
<p>Things changed for me as my browser Google Chrome crashed.It needs some plugin called unity player.</p>
<p>On a serious note,i tried it out in Firefox and it rocks ! Its a whole 3D world all set to be explored.It has game like controls where you control your avatar.You can make it run,walk and even fly.Its in nascent stage right now and needs a lot of work and more online users.It will be fun if many people roam around together in the 3D world.You can use many emotions with your avatar.Its fun.</p>

<p>Read the third bullet point again.In the 3D world there is constant branding of Godrej.Its colors,its products etc.So may be its just a way to get closer to the customer.e.g.I saw a Cinthol Ad in the virtual cricket stadium.Advertising ?</p>
<p>The idea seems to be,get people to make avatar,then fall in love with it.Make avatar use Godrej products.Who knows people start doing it in the real life ?</p>
<p>Anyways its fun.And makes you feel good.So Go Jiyo.</p>

<p>IT IS TIME.</p>
<p>Its different, i must say.There are four TV ads and a print ad.</p>

<p>The campaign hits you right on the head,literally !.I really enjoyed the ads and found them to be quite relevant,meaningful and interesting.</p>
<p>Just yesterday i watched the movie Y.M.I.(Yeh Mera India) which touches the core issues of india and today i watched these HT ads which try do the same but in a more crisp manner.This made me like these ads even more.</p>
<p>These ads ask you questions.e.g.The first ad on better journalism asks question to all the aaj taks,india tvs and 24&#215;7 channels who have made journalism a joke for getting more eye balls on their news channels.Not ears to listen,not brains to think, but just the eyes to see their channel for vulgar display of bad journalism for the sake of TRPs.</p>
<p>The third swine flu ad is not only hilarious but also has a lot more to say regarding us,the Indians.</p>
<p>After seeing the fourth ad,in which the guy praises China for making a Sea Link of double the size in 3-4 months, I hung my head in shame.Not because i felt inferior to China but because i was also among those people who actually made such comments when the sea link was inaugurated.</p>
<p>All four ads would touch different people in different ways.Obviously it would do HT a lot of good( i hope it does).As per the Indian Readership Survey (IRS) 2009 R1 data, released by the Members Research User’s Council on May 8, <strong>Hindustan Times is the top publication in Delhi</strong>, while <strong>The Times of India is the top publication in Mumbai.</strong> When it comes to the publication that showed growth in Mumbai, DNA is on top. <p>The Hindustan Times not only needs to maintain its numero uno position in Delhi but also rise in Mumbai where TOI is already on decline.</p>
<p>So this might just be the campaign for HT which places them among top read dailies in India.</p>

<p>MTV stands for music television so we should not have been surprised but we were because from past some time MTV just airs some shows like Roadies,Splitsvilla,connected (these days).If you want to watch(listen) some music MTV is not the place to be.We search for other channels like Music India or B4U music and whatever.There was time when MTV and Channel [V]  were music channels.</p>

<p>or Punjabi but these days they have all these roadies like shows which are similar to each other and MTV airs them again and again.</p>
<p>MTV has been representing the young crowd from ages and its brand personality was of a young teenager who is fun loving rebellious,risk taking and most importantly loved music but these days its brand personality is just of a Roadie.</p>
<p>I myself watched Roadies(and even liked it) and i also know its all about TRPs so MTV will air such shows which grabs them the maximum eyeballs.But i think this is in the short run.It has already started against them.Even people have started to say these days that there are no songs on MTV these days just roadies or shoadies every time you put on the channel.</p>
<p>MTV could have a new channel instead dedicated to such shows instead of running MTV(music TV) without the music.</p>
<p>In the long run MTV cant run long without Music.</p>

The Ad is brilliant and would have been great if IPL would have been some tournament featuring India and other countries as teams such as Trination series or world cup tournaments. But when the campaign comes to IPL,it doesnt fit.</p>
<p>When Mumbai Indians is playing against Delhi Daredevils.What do you think?</p>
<p>Let us assume:</p>
<p>1) if these are only the two teams in IPL and all 100 crore watch cricket</p>
<p>2) Assuming equal fan following so 50 crore support Mumbai and rest 50 crore support Delhi.</p>
<p>3) Now for every 6 hit by Jayasurya(Mumbai Indian Player),50 crore Mumbai Indians fans would rejoice and 50 crore delhi fans would frown.</p>
<p>So where does the funda of 100 crore doing the same thing go?.</p>
<p>The main positioning of IPL(and ICL too) was based on the inter region rivalry. i.e. A Punjabi would love Kings 11 players and hates(in good spirit of course) other teams’ players. Now the new campaign is confused what to convey.</p>
<p>1)	They want all 100 crore to support all teams.(We just love good cricket who ever displays it)</p>
<p>2)	They are confused about what they mean by saying 100 crore doing the same thing.</p>
