Few days back i heard this new song Aahun Aahun from the movie Love Aaj Kal,it was nice but i was like “Pritam! not again dude!”

The song is same as a famous Punjabi Song ‘Kadi te hass bol ve’ which i used to hear in college days.This is not new for Pritam.He has been doing this from long time now.

All his major hits have been copied or inspired from some song from Korea,Indonesia,Malaysia,US and now Indian folk.For complete list of his wonders visit this link.

In fact the site itwofs.com has details of all other music directors who have been ‘inspired’ in the past.Who can forget Anu Malik and his multi-version Makarina.

Even the likes of RD Burman figure in the list with proofs.It was sad to find out few instances of A R Rehman were also listed with the songs(but these are just inspirations not complete rip offs).

This issue of Plagiarism is not just in music but also in movies.Most of our movies are direct scene to scene rip offs of some hollywood flick.

Why plagiarism is so much prevalent.Is it a way of life ?  Not just the film industry,we all plagiarise.

Recently in Australia,Indian students have been accused of copying their reports of their master courses.

Google has become a source of Plagiarism not knowledge.Inspiration is not a bad thing but plagiarism is.

All know that people like Pritam copy or steal tunes of others but no one does anything because he gives hits after hits.He gives hits after hits because we listen to what he offers.When we listen,it means business.Plagiarism thrives.

I watched this episode in which Karan Thapar grills Pritam and Anu Malik for plagiarism.The episode seem to be 2 years old.Same story same allegations but 2 year down the line nothing has changed.

This is a serious issue and needs to be curbed.Many talented composers lag behind because they dont have the ability,which pritam and anu have.

Are we to blame ?

Is our Indian mentality to blame ?

The issue of Plagiarism is not new and is not restricted to a certain section of society but is omnipresent and is waiting to be thrown out of our lives.

When i was a kid i liked Baingan Ka Bhartha(An Indian Dish Made of Brinjals) like anything.My mom used to make it for me whenever i wanted it.Everytime i used to visit home this dish was always there on my wishlist.This time when i went home and asked for it Mom said we have stopped buying brinjals.They have some issue.It was shown on the news.Then she told that they are genetically modified or are about to be so to avoid risk we are not buying.

I was heartbroken but thats true.Soon Aloo Baingan ,Bhartha and other delicacies will be not safe.As BT Brinjal and other GM(Genetically Modified) foods are set to flock indian markets.

GM foods mean that foods are made to have some ‘novel’ characterstics so that they can resist pests on their own or contain chemicals which are toxic to pests which normally attack them.

The concern that this campaign points out is that genes of sexually incompatible species are being interchanged. Spider, scorpion, toxic bacteria and even human genes are being introduced into such commonly consumed food such as brinjal, cabbage, cowpeas, okra and even rice. The idea is to make the crops toxic to pests but without bothering to investigate the affect on humans.

The experiments on Rats have shown shocking results.

Laboratory experiments on rats has revealed that upon being fed genetically modified food, these rats displayed symptoms of immune system damage, stunted growth, misshapen cell structures in different organs, organ damage particularly to liver and kidneys, bleeding ulcers in stomach, reduced digestive enzymes, inflamed lung tissue, higher offspring mortality, etc.

BT brinjal – the first food crop under evaluation – is all set to be introduced in the Indian market before year-end by a Maharashtra based company.

The BT Brinjal variety, awaiting central government clearance for commercial release, will be the first Fruit and Shoot Borer (FSB) vegetable biotech crop to benefit farmers who face nine per cent losses in fruit damage and up to 70 per cent in commercial plantings in India, sources at Maharashtra Hybrid Seeds Co, which is developing the BT brinjal, said.

They claimed the crop has undergone rigorous scientific evaluation to assess its food safety, environmental safety, human and animal health, safety and biodiversity. (The TIMES OF INDIA)

But the reality is different as seen above.

So why the Government is ignoring everything so here is one of the reason.

Scientists have estimated that BT Brinjal will deliver farmers a net economic benefit ranging from Rs 16,299 (330 USD to Rs 19,744 per (397 USD) acre with national benefits to India exceeding 400 million USD per year, the sources said.

But who is gonna take into account the social cost and environmental cost associated with introduction of GM foods.I cant express it in numbers as the above profit numbers.

Many of us are aware of I AM NO LAB RAT campaign.

These guys are actually working on creating awareness about the ill effects of GM foods.

Lets get back to our friend Brinjal and his not so good friend BT Brinjal.

BT Brinjal, as the name suggests, contains the toxin producing gene from the toxic bacteria Bacillus Thuringiensis, in an effort to kill the pests like fruit and stem borer(FSB). However, what affect this toxic brinjal will have on humans who consumed it is not being investigated. Independent research has revealed that the Bt toxin is not destroyed by cooking and has the ability to interfere with the gut bacteria in humans.

Sounds  Scary!

Dodge this,GM foods are mainly about patenting seeds and handing over the ownership of the world’s food to a few American multinationals.

same story

This is my daily ordeal after i get free from my MBA classes.I asked many people of my college and aslo adjoining mithibai colleges.Many face the same issue.

According to the rule of law an auto driver cant refuse to ply even if it doesnt suit his requirements.He has to go at any cost.But majority of autowallahs are either are not aware of it nor they bother to obey even if they know.

But what are we people doing nothing.We keep on moving to next auto till one farishta comes and takes us to home.We will wait there for 15 odd minutes cursing our luck but will not do anything

According to Mumbai police,if some auto wallah refuses to ply we should complain.but how many of us as ever even seen the website where to do it.because like those auto wallahs even we dont bother.

So even if you think this would be harsh on the auto walla,just make him aware that such system exists where you can complain against him and his license can be cancelled and note his number in front of him.

They used to make money also.Had good clinics or hospitals.All worked in good hospitals.Quite Prestigious and satisfying i suppose.But over the years and after i joined professional life as IT professional with medical covers from the company.Now a new face of doctors have emerged.One who will not think twice before announcing a serious ailment to you even if you dont have 1% of it.

I personally have not experienced it.But my friends and the people i have know have faced.

One of my friend’s friend ahd just backache and fever.He went to one of the most reputed hospitals in Hyderabad.He was made to have every possible test possible in their facility.In the end he was threatened that he may have a kidney disorder.For a guy aged 25 odd such news can have  quite an impact mentally as well as physically(can be termed as trauma may be).Now the nephrologist is summoned and he actually clears him after one day of hospitalization.Then again He is hospitalized on similar gorunds for the second day and the doctor discahrges him saying there was nothing.In the end whole episode costs that guy Rs 28000 onlyyyyy.

All this was done because that guy worked in an IT company which covered his medical expenses(insurance).That guy will get 28000 as his expenses but what about the trauma he had undergone,His family had undergone??

No medical cover no insurance,nothing

How can saviours of life do that ???

Now a new phobia is actually  coming up these days which is called DOCOPHOBIA.

I also suffer from it.This is fear of visiting a doctor thinking that he might tell you a disease which you actually not suffer from.I have seen people saying,”Arey yaar chhod na aise hi theek ho jayega!!Hospital jayenge vo bill ke chakkar mein kya  kya kar denge kya pata!! Chhod chill maar”.

I wil tell you my instance of this phobia.I got admission in a college.They wanted HIV test report.I went to a hospital nearby called IMAGE HOSPITALS in madhapur,hyderabad.I went to the receptionist.I asked her that i want to get a HIV test done.She looked at me with such greedy eyes,”AA GAYA BAKRA!!!”.Seeing her eyes i thought ye mujhe positive dikhane ke poore mood mein hai.Somehow i got courage to ask her the procedure and told her why i needed it.She told me it will cost 1000 bucks(a friend in Ludhiana had got it for 300 bucks).then she asked me to go to the lab.I went there.I met the lab persons.None of them knew english,then i talked in hindi they didnt even know it.They talked in teleugu to me.Somehow i conveyed them that i wanted a HIV test.They laughed like fools first as if i am coming directly from a brothel.Then asked me to give blood.and talked to each other.I got so scared and that DOCOPHOBIA hit me badly.I got up from there and said i dont want it from here.At VIKRAM HOSPITALS aslo similar scene.In the end i ahd started believing that these hospitals will surely show me  positive test report and will charge me money and all blah blah,

In the end i went to a small time clinic cum lab.There i was tested calmly and within 2 hours i got the report.NEGATIVE It was.I dont know why i feeled so relieved.Not that i feared HIV but of DOCOPHOBIA.

My dad yesterday told me.Its happening in North also.

Hey guys what happenin!!!These medical covers and insurance are for our well being.These people are exploiting for their quick money.But what they dont know is they are adding to english language.Their contribution The DOCOPHOBIA.

I know a few ppl suffering from it including me.I hope it doesnt spread because in the end these hospitals will have no patient to treat due to fear.

We got a new internet connection at home.After surfing ulti seedhi all sites i thought to myself what shud i do.Then thanks to our out of world news channels i came across The new filmi blog fight Aamir Khan calling his dog Sharukh.Ammir khan actually writing on his blog.BLOG BlOg bLoG this word clicked as immediate effect.I thought with laptop warming my lap that all ppl are blogging and blog make news so why should not i also BLOG?

waah!!

mera apna blog(my own blog).now i just knew the word nothing else.I didnt even know how to start or wrote a blog.By the way i work for Oracle a software engineer but again Vela Software Engineer did nothing so how do where to blog.

so bang bang bang God has given us one thing which helps at any time Google.I googled all combinations and finally landed up at WordPress.

Thaks god English aati hai !!.So understood what this all is.And set up my blog account.I was unnecessarily feeling so proud like an idiot that i have a blog account.and as usual day dreaming that i will write super blog will worte ground breaking logic defying blogs then Zee news-> Aaj Tak-> NDTV-> CNN-IBN(This list no way reflects the quality of channels in increasing order) .My only aim is to dislodge Khali from his place in News channels and be there for my blogs.In evening and night i was day dreaming.

Now afteri am set that i m becoming a blogger.Now new conflict starts what to write in a Blog.What has to be the topicva(effect of Dil chance maare from Tashan so a “va” leaked).

I shortlisted many topics like bashing Arsene Wenger for making ARsenal FC what it is today.Why cant he buy a new star player and why cant he stop players like Hleb and Flamini from leaving then i thought arsene is more expert than me so i will not take out my frustration on him.

Then i thought of crying over these stupid news channels.Why are they killing journalism and media?Then i thought Chhod yaar aapan Ki laina hai? (what have i to do with it?).

Then i thought about my girlfriend,then i though that she is too vast to write a blog on She atleast deserves a book.He He

Then Cricket aaaah! then movies aaaah aaaaaaah!!! (i actually yawned).

Then i thought of my sinking career.Waiting for MBA calls and still waiting.

Lets discuss about Indias newest trend the call centres.My only interactions with call centre people have been when i have talked to them on phone hahaha where else!!!

But one serious thing which i have been seeing over past 3 4 years when everything has a call centre guy attached to it is that the professionalism is missing.

This is India here people want their job to be done when they pay for it or order something.

I will tell you a typical conversation

CC guy: Hi sir this is *****,How may i help you ?(he asks tell the problem so i tell him )

Me: actually my outgoing has been barred.I have already cleared my bills today they have not been updated.There is no mistake of mine

CC Guy: sir may i know your cell number?

Me:**********

CC Guy: whom am i talking to sir?

Me: confirmed

CC Guy: How did you pay the bill ?

Me:Yur website online option

CC Guy:Sir it has not been updated ?

Me: Then update it please

CC Guy: Sir i cant do it.its automatic.

Me: What do you mean you cant update you expect me to be without my cellphone outgoings for two days.

CC Guy: Sorry Sir.This online option takes time sir.(then why the hell you keep that option)

Me:Please not my reference number and make my outgoigns working i need it.

CC Guy: Sir system automaticllay does it.i am sorry

Me: I have been using ur f*** service for more than a year and this is the service i get.After already i have paid my money due to your system and internal processes its happening.

CC Guy: Sorry sir for the inconvenience.

Me: What do you mean??

CC Guy: It will be done sir automatically wait.

Me:You are asking me to wait on you mercy after paying money too.

CC guy:Sir when phone is barred due to credit limit we cant accept online payments we need cash(lo kalro baat)

Me: Who the hell has told this to me what is this?

CC Guy: I cant do anything sir.

Me: (losing my temper) :then why the hell you are sitting there go home you *@#$@%$

CC Guy: Sir please pay in cash in our shop centere hub.

Me: And the money which i have already paid

CC Guy: I dont know sir.I m telling u the way to get ur phone working

CC guy: No sir

Me:(lost it now)Give the phone to ur manager or seniour

In the end gives it to the boss or manager.He understands the problem and makes my phone working after understanding and confirming the problem and phone started in 4 hours.

The point is why the hell a person with no power with no brain just a slave of stupid oracle or SAP applications.They are just making excuse of systems and applications for hiding the ineffeciency

Why no professionalism?????

The comapnies just should not have CAll centre guys if they have to behave like this

If they can help whats the fun

For some enquiry or specific puproses they should be there

So now i should stop it

i am already feeling frustrated thinking of one more marketing call for a credit card
